You shouldn’t be really, I know it’s annoying but every other retailer sold out in literal minutes and Very had it up for over 3 days where you could order up to 5?
My Very order was just cancelled. I still have my ShopTo order, but they are infamous for using substandard packaging for boxed special editions like large bubble envelopes or large boxes with no packaging.
Just prompted me to look…..mine was cancelled too – and I was on that site immediately. Bugger.
Strange that mine is still open as of right now as I’m looking at it, touch wood it stays that way. I definitely ordered after quite of you’s so I wonder why mine ain’t been cancelled yet?
As I use Very quite a lot I suppose it’s possible they’ve given me the squeeze as a ‘regular customer’ but that said I won’t believe I’ve got mine coming till they’re actually in my hand.

If Amazon ain’t cancelled your pre-order by now I’d say you’ve got an infinitely better chance of yours actually arriving than what I have mine.

Edit: I’ve just clocked my Amazon order got cancelled already, without them even sending me a mail to tell me this so the Very orders will defo get wiped very soon.

Just got an official email about the cancellation saying they didn’t get any in stock to begin with so I’m guessing all will be cancelled? Gave me £10 gift card, so got £35 in the end

in very you have to pay in advance, so it could be the case they have a higher allocation and will request it from Nintendo based on the volume. I mine within the first hour they opened, so I hope mine is secured though 🤣
No you don’t have to pay straight away with Very. If you add it to your account you won’t have to pay till the first statement after it’s been shipped.
There’s nothing wrong. It sits on Very because people can’t be bothered to make an account to buy.
You can’t buy on Very without an account and that puts people off so it doesn’t sell out as fast.
Yeah I appreciate what you’re saying about needing a Very account but it didn’t put folk off when they were after the GTA DualSense yesterday or the Zelda Switch 2 the day before.
It would seem to me that this Metroid Collector’s Edition is much more scarce than either of the 2 above mentioned products.
I don’t think creating an account would put people off for an item this limited – it’s sold out most places in minutes – Very have been the only place to buy it for 10 hrs at this point with no purchase limits – very likely taking orders they won’t be able to fulfil. Doubt they’d be given more allocation than Amazon or Nintendo’s own store. Would be very interested to find out if orders are cancelled.
I suspect there would be more than enough people who already have accounts to have hoovered up Very’s entire shipment of these Metroids hours ago. I totally agree with you that there’s absolutely no way they’d be getting more stock than what Amazon and Nintendo Store UK are.
I’d imagine there will be plenty of disappointed people at some point between now and January 28th because mass cancellations are bound to be incoming. The worst thing is those cancellations might not drop in to people’s inboxes till around the time they’ll be expecting them to be shipping dispatch notifications.
i just ordered with Very. just in case. already got one from nintendo when i unexpectedly stumbled across it despite waiting in a queue with 1000s in front of me. both £100. the other 2 amiibo are still available on nintendo too, days after the launched. no one wants them i guess. i got both though. but i also bought the beyond ones like a saddo lol
Funny you should mention that because I also bought the Vi-O-La one pre-launch, I actually think it’s one of the coolest Amiibo out there! I also stumbled across the Sylux Amiibo going for 10 Euro on Amazon Deutschland last week, and as we’ve got a mate from Germany who is Prime subscribed visiting next month I got her to order it for me so no shipping cost either. I just checked mine and the confirmation mail dropped in at 9:25 so who knows how long we’ll have to wait to find out if they will fulfill the order or not?
I did also manage to snag one from Amazon a few hours later as a safety net, I see it’s still showing at 120 quid which is proper saucy! I do not share the confidence of others in here that they will drop that pre-order price to £99.99 before it launches in January.
It could be a while before we know but even I’m not positive I’ll get mine, they were up for a while and anyone could order 5.

No I don’t see that they’ll drop the price, but it’s scummy that Bezos’ company is scalping. They must know they’re extremely limited and people won’t cancel.

i mainly buy them still coz i’ve sold old ones on ebay some time after and they’ve got me a nice bit extra. I’m not a scalper, i genuinely bought them and kept most of them in the box if i realise they don’t do much in game. then some time later when i was selling old games when i needed the money i see ones like the squishy metroid selling for 2-4x what i paid so i was too tempted and sold it. the latest ones like the Beyond and the EMMI twin pack from Dread don’t seem hard… Read more »
nobody wants to make a long winded account for very and go through a thousand loops. just got the confirmation email through a moment ago. totally okay to still order from them. if anything scalpers are probably sweating their socks as it turns out maybe its not as scarce as they thought.
It takes a minute or two more to register on Very than it does on other sites so it’s not that long-winded to be fair.
I’d have thought the overwhelming majority of folk who pre-ordered Zelda 40th Switch 2’s, the GTA DualSense’s and this Metroid Collector’s Edition last week would have had Very accounts already.
Someone is living in cloud cuckoo land, there are hundreds of thousands of people with accounts on Very and these wouldn’t have lasted minutes off the allocation was correct. Why would scalpers be sweating when they can just cancel their order if it was on the cards it wasn’t very limited? They can just return them anyway if not selling, it’s a no risk scenario for them.
Lots of limits items on Very sell out in minutes and this is no different, now still available to buy 3 days later!?
As far as I’m aware you don’t even need to pay for pre-order items till they’re shipped with Very, if you add them on to your account rather than going pay now that is And when I say about adding the balance on your account I don’t even mean settling up the stripe up pay a quid a week for a decade but the interest free ‘pay in three’ or pay the balance in full. There’s a chance the price lowers before release day, in which case you will only be charged that lower price if you have a pre order in (they’ve done so before,) but there’s no guarantee the price drops.

I escalated the price error to Amazon customer associate and they said they’ll escalate and investigate and if there has been an error the price will be adjusted. It’s unusual for Amazon to charge £20 over RRP. The listing is currently down.
They also did it with all the Zelda 40th stuff, it’s all matched with the US dollars RRP of the same items. Mist he a glitch

A bit concerned that since it’s still in stock at game they’re taking more orders than they have stock for and will cancel orders like they’ve done in the past, especially since it’s £10 cheaper and not limited to one per person
