I never received a purchase confirmation email, despite me being able to place an order. Anyone else?

It’s definitely in my order history and says pre-ordered. I’m just a bit worried not receiving a confirmation email as my ordering process went a bit problematic.

I added it to my basket at 2.59pm but during checkout it turned out my old address was still saved (i moved recently). It wouldn’t let me change it or add a new one at checkout so I had to do so in my MS account. That glitched and took minutes.

By then main page showed the xbox out of stock, yet it was still in my basket. Ordered successfully at 3.07pm. 🤔

See they’re on eBay for nearly £2k each.
It’s about time something is done about the scummy practice.

Well without resellers I wouldn’t have got my hands on a 500 million edition PS4 Pro a few years ago, nor would I be getting a limited edition Wolverine adamantium cover for my PS5 Pro in a few weeks time either. There’s nothing scummy about the free market as far as I’m concerned, I’m actually pretty grateful the option is there when there’s been occasions that I’ve missed out something. We all snooze and lose at some time or another and yeah it will cost me a bit more than RRP but if I really want something I’ll gladly weigh… Read more »

At £2k compared to £759 is a bit of a piss take. Fair enough if it was a grand but over twice the price I would say that is a scummy practice which is why I never buy off a scalper as it just enables them.

@Leon with due respect asking for two grand and getting two grand are two very different things. Personally I wouldn’t have the front to ask that much of a premium on something I was selling but I suppose resellers list at stupid money knowing prospective buyers will negotiate them down. The seller I got the PS5 Pro Wolverine cover off last week had it up at £140 plus shipping but I ended up knocking him down to around £104 plus shipping. I was well happy with that and I suppose many will argue I’m part of the problem by being… Read more »

I don’t defend any of them at the end of the day they’re all anti consumer but they should still put proper practises in place to make sure that limited consoles or games aren’t snapped up by scalpers in the first place but they don’t actually give two shits who buys them as long as they’re selling the units and making money. As for resellers being regular they’re not otherwise they would be actual retailers selling at a RRP instead of a massively inflated bullshit price to con people to pay ridiculous inflated prices, in reality they’re con men/women. If… Read more »

Not really sure who you think you are to be cussing away at me when I’ve treated you with courtesy and respect.

You’re clearly a very angry man so perhaps take your own advice. If resellers get you so irate and it’s all as easy as you make it out to be then why not just become an “actual retailer” yourself and stop them in their tracks?

Have a nice evening.

Cussing you? I was simply saying I don’t agree with resellers or scalpers anybody should be able to make money the best way they can but these sort of prices same as with the 30th anniversary PS are disgusting. If you’re happy to pay their prices that’s your choice like I said before each to their own, but I know myself and the majority of other people would actually like to buy things at the RRP it’s supposed to be sold at. If scalping was regulated properly and not just in entertainment it was the same this summer with air… Read more »

there is one thing being able to purchase a limited item like u have with the ps4 pro , its a completely different scenario having these scalpers listing items that are not even out for more than double the cost at retail . the main reason ppl piss out is they all go instantly due to these scalpers , honest buyers don’t get a chance.

you would have probably got the wolverine plates at retail if this problem wasn’t ongoing , and if u did miss out you would still get ppl selling them but not at inflated prices.

thats such a lame argument man! If everything was bought by folks who dont wanna sell them on then there would not be anythin available after they sell out! And why would anyone buy stuff to sell on at zero profit for folks that missed out? Thats crazy and deluded dude! Yall jus want everythin your own way!

i guess u are a scalper . Only ppl who are ok or defending this are scalpers or make profit doing this from time to time . Crazy how you don’t understand my point it’s not ppl not wanting to sell items they have purchased, it’s ppl who do it solely to make money and don’t care or want the item they bought

your givin me a migraine dude. Why would folks not make a profit when theres a profit to be made by sellin items they bought? And damn right that includes buying just to sell or buyin for yourself then seein big gains to be made and then sellin

Is you not understanding a simple point giving you a migraine. Interesting that explains a lot I hope scalpers like yourself are unable to continue at some point. Saying this I mainly blame the companies allowing this to happen and the selling platforms.

You’re a first class clown! They caused the lack of supply in the first place by using bots to buy up large amounts of stock, then they sell it back to you for 2-3 times the price and you’re grateful? Classic case of (Cause the problem and then offer the solution)

Confirmation of purchase mail was at 15:08 so I’m guessing it must have been around five past three.

It was only giving me the ‘find a retailer’ option, so I was continually clicking refresh and all of a sudden it gave me the ‘pre-order now’ option and I pulled the trigger instantly.

Thank you mate, very kind of you. I missed out on quite a few things lately so I’m just relieved to have been in the right place at the right time today. I have just said in another comment I don’t mind buying off resellers when I miss out on stuff but as much as I wanted this Xbox I wouldn’t be willing to fork out what’s being asked for these at the moment. These are outrageously expensive as it is on RRP so I’ve had to flex the 0% till 2028 credit card I got a few months ago… Read more »

Thank you for the tip off mate, I suspect it will cost stupid money so I most likely won’t get it when it does becomes available for pre-order but I’d at least like the opportunity to pull the trigger.

Do i need the full price of the console on my card by the reservation check or do they just do a 10$ / euro check and then collect the full amount closer to release offcourse but how much they do reservation check or dont they do that?

they have not said but i think it will be similar to the regular series x as they have said they wouldn’t charge 1000 for a console and the series x is close to that price already
